The group matches of ODI world cup will start from 5th October. First match will be played between the defending champions England and runners up of last world cup New Zealand.
Star sports India have broadcasting rights of the World Cup 2023 in India. There is an agreement of eight years between ICC and star sports India.
Here it should be noted that agreement between ICC and star sports is only limited to broadcasting rights. Star sports India has only the broadcasting rights and ICC still owns the hosting rights of this tournament.
