Harmanpreet Kaur, the renowned Indian woman cricketer, has surpassed the record of former men’s cricket captain of the country, MS Dhoni. Having won the Group A encounter in the Commonwealth Games 2022, also representing Women’s cricket for the first time, Kaur came across the feat.
She has led India in 71 T20I, gathering 42 victories, 26 defeats, and the rest ending with a no-result. After Pak W vs Ind W CWG 2022 match, her registered number of triumphs are now more than Dhoni, who, in leading India in 72 T20Is, won 41 as a skipper. This makes her the Indian captain with the most number of T20I wins.
The next in the lane is Virat Kohli, who guided India in 50 matches in the format, winning 30 as a skipper. Like this, he has the highest winning percentage than Kaur and Dhoni.
Record: Harmanpreet Kaur has most number of wins as an Indian captain in T20I, she overtakes MS Dhoni.

Harmanpreet slammed a fifty in India’s opening match against Australia. However, it went in vain, as the women in blue ended on a losing cause. They registered their first win of the contest, beating Pakistan with a heavy margin, keeping the history alive.
Bismah Maroof and co chose to bat first but were dismissed on 99, playing only 18 overs. In reply, Kaur’s girls scored 102 on the loss of two wickets in just 11.4 overs. With two back-to-back defeats, Pakistan are now placed last on the points table with zero points.
As far as India’s position is concerned, they are second in the place as a result of Australia vs Barbados match. Yet, they have a firm chance to qualify for the semi-final, winning their maiden Commonwealth Games medal.
