Greatest all-rounder joins Legends League Cricket

The second edition of the Legends League Cricket (LLC 2022) is all set to kick start on the 20th of September, and the former cricket greats are excited to be the tournament’s part.

LLC 2022 will feature four privately-owned teams. In the inaugural season, it included World Giants, Asian Lions, and Indian Maharajas. As the names indicate, Giants featured cricketers from all across the world except Asian countries, Maharajas featured Indian cricketers, whereas Lions featured players from all other Asian countries except India.

The South African greats Jacques Kallis and Dale Steyn are ready steady to be the LLC 2022 part. Kallis, who was known as the greatest all-rounder of his time, is set to rock. He is excited to play among other former legendary cricketers.

Talking to NDTV Sports, he narrated,

“It feels great to be part of LLC and to play in season 2 of the league. I am looking forward to playing with other legends in the field,”

The CEO and co-founder of the league, Raman Raheja, is delighted to have Kallis and Steyn in the league. He said,

“Legendary icons like Kallis and Steyn will bring more excitement and firepower to the field, entertaining the viewers with their performances. We welcome them to the Legends family and look forward to experiencing their cricketing magic on the field and getting entertained,”

Kallis, with over 10,000 runs in Test cricket and ODI, and more than 250 wickets in both formats, is regarded as one of the best all-rounders of all time. Steyn, who recently retired, is also another iconic name in South African cricket, picking 439 wickets in Tests at an average of 22.95 and with 26 five-wicket hauls.
