With the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League’s draft (PSL 8 draft) not more than a week away, the six franchises are releasing and retaining their players. So far, some shocking developments from the area have come our way, which include bowler Naseem Shah parting ways with the franchise.

Nadeem Omar, the owner of the franchise, confirmed the news in a presser, while it has also been confirmed that batter Umar Akmal will continue his journey with the team.

According to sources, he has been offered a lucrative deal by another franchise which has promised to add him to the platinum category. As far as more news from QG are concerned, skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed finds no problem in playing as an ordinary player in the squad while handing over his captaincy to Babar Azam.

Notably, Karachi King’s parting ways with Azam have been the biggest news of PSL 8. However, it is not yet confirmed if he will go to the Gladiators or some other team. The reports also state that Peshawar Zalmi might sign a deal with the Pakistani captain, while Zalmi’s Shoaib Malik would go to the Kings as a result of the trade.
