Shakib ul Hassan will lead the team in world cup. Some good youngsters such as Mehdy Hassan Miraz and Tanzim Saqib are included in this squad. Shakib ul Hassan and Mushfiqur Rahim have plenty of experience.
Surprisingly,Tamim Iqbal has been dropped from Bangladesh World cup Squad.
Tamim Iqbal has a very interesting story. Just before the Asia cup he retired. Then, Bangladesh’s PM convinced Tamim to get his retirement back. Tamim came out of the retirement. Then he became injured and missed the Asia cup.
Afterwards, he was included in team for series against New Zealand. Bangladesh lost first two matches of this series. Now world cup squad is announced and he is not in the world cup squad.
Tamim is a big player and has much experience. So if he came out of retirement he should be included in the world cup squad. Moreover, Bangladesh didn’t perform well in Asia cup so an experience player like Tamim can make the difference in the world cup.
Overall Bangladesh squad is balanced but they are mostly relying on their experience players. Shakib in ul Hasan, Liton Das and Mushfiq ur Rahim have to perform if Bangladesh wanted to make it to the semi finals.
