Javed Miandad said Babar Azam should captain the Pakistan cricket team until he retires.
Under the captaincy of Babar, Pakistan has been a tough side to play with, even in Test cricket. Winning eight out of the 12 matches played and also in the first test match against Sri Lanka at Galle Pakistan showed splendid performance including Babar who had put the most contribution for the team.
Javed Miandad spoke about Pakistan’s victory over Sri Lanka and also talked about Babar and his captaincy appreciating him. On his official YouTube channel, he said:
“Team is playing as a combined unit, and the credit goes to our players as well as our no.1 captain. He is our captain cool. He doesn’t lose his temper,” Miandad said.
“He led the team brilliantly. The most important thing is he is performing brilliantly himself. He leads from the front. Often, if a captain doesn’t perform, it can affect the team negatively and it leads to his downfall.”
“Babar Azam is mature now. He should be the captain of the team until he retires from the game,”
The former Pakistani cricketer thus expressed his thoughts on Babar Azam and mentioned that he should captain the team until he retires from International cricket.
